Church Elections

VOTING FOR ONE (1) MEMBER OF THE CHURCH BOARD AND THE AMENDMENTS WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THREE SUNDAY SERVICES: JULY 19, 26, AND AUGUST 2

The voting process will take place during the three Sunday services listed above. Each member will vote for two things: (a) One (1) member for the Church Board (administrative department) from the two proposed persons listed on the voting ballot (the top two proposed on July 12); (b) For amendments – they will be presented and explained on July 12.

THE NEW CHURCH BOARD MEMBER WILL BE COMMITTED TO MINISTRY AND THE RESULTS OF THE VOTING WILL BE PRESENTED

Sunday, August 9 we will post and announce the results of the vote for a new Church Board member and amendments. At the 5:00 pm service, we will commit the new administrator to ministry.

During this period of time we will pray to the Lord seeking guidance, and every Thursday we will fast so that we may know and understand His will for the things that we will vote for. May God bless us and may His Holy Spirit guide us to understanding and fulfilling His will.

Guests are welcome to worship with us at all the services. All the services will be transmitted online on the church website and on the Facebook page.

Starting with Sunday, August 2, parents may bring all their children to church (including those under 10 years of age), at the 11:30am and 5:00 pm services. Note that both Bethany Land and Bethany Kids are still closed. We are working on organizing a children service on a week day - more details soon.

We respectfully ask the following categories of people to please follow the church services online from home:

- Those who work in fields with high exposure or who knowingly have come in contact with persons who are sick.

- Those with underlying illnesses, such as cardiovascular or pulmonary conditions, diabetes, or other conditions that are considered vulnerable

- Anyone who is coughing, has fever or any other symptoms that indicates a cold or the presence of an illness

Those who are above the age of 65 may choose to participate in the following church services:

- Services organized specifically for them

- Thursday evening services, when the number of participants is fewer

All participants in the services will assume responsibility for following regulations:

1. Entering and exiting the building will be allowed utilizing only marked doors so that people may move in a single direction, respecting a 6 ft minimum distance and thus avoiding cross-contamination. The entrance to the building will ONLY be through the main entrance of the church.

2. Wearing of masks is mandatory where a minimum distance of 6 feet cannot be maintained. In addition, wearing of masks is also mandatory when entering and exiting the church building and the sanctuary. We recommend that each person bring their own mask from home. However, ushers will provide one for those who do not have one.

3. Each person’s temperature will be checked upon entering the building. Each person will also need to sanitize their hands with the disinfectant provided by the ushers. Temperature checks and hand sanitization are MANDATORY.

4. The benches will be occupied beginning with the front rows and will be dismissed beginning with the back rows. Seating will only be allowed in marked areas – you will be guided accordingly.  At the end of the service, exiting the building will be announced and coordinated from the pulpit. If members chose to come with their families (including children over the age of 10), they may sit together without maintaining distance. Ushers will guide them to special areas for families.

5. A minimum distance of 6 feet is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED in the parking lot and in the church building. In addition, any form of greeting that involves physical contact must also be avoided.

6. In order to eliminate the risk of infection, the drinking water fountains from the hallways will not be in use and the gathering up of the offering will only be done at the exit where there will be collection boxes for gifts offered to the Lord.

7. The children’s department will have no activity at church for the time being – click on the links below for details about the 2 activities for children and youth:
