Vision 2018

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him” (1 Peter 3:8-14)

I. EVANGELISM

1. We will organize several evangelism evenings during the year, including the Christmas Carols Concert on the 15th of December. The church members will invite unconverted people to these events and will pray for their salvation insistently. The manifestation of hospitality helps guests to feel welcome, wanting to return for a new spiritual experience with Bethany Church.

2. The Year 2018 will be named ”The Year of Sanctification”, and many of the sermons in church will be regarding this subject.

3. During church services, we will continue to pray for the salvation of unbelievers.

4. The salvation of all people was the main reason for which the Savior Jesus Christ came on earth and it is our main objective as His Church. Accepting this responsibility by faith, we will continue to produce and sponsor an evangelistic TV program in Romania, broadcasted through the national television channel NASUL TV, through the well-known Christian program called “The Good Shepherd”. According to the statistics, the “The Good Shepherd” program is watched by over 200,000 Romanians weekly. The evangelistic program is produced in the recording studio of our church, and it is made up of the pastor`s sermon, meditations and Christian songs. This program will be broadcasted in the entire country, on NASUL TV, each Saturday morning between 10:00 and 11:30 AM, Romania’s time. The price for filming, editing, and broadcasting is approximately $3,700 a month.

5. We will also broadcast a program through the Christian television Credo on Mondays between 4:00 and 5:00 PM. The program will be replayed on Tuesdays, between 12:00 and 1:00 AM, and Fridays, between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. Consequently, we have at least 12 hours of monthly broadcasting. Two or three programs a month will contain church services, the sermons of various preachers and songs of groups, bands, or soloists. The other two or three monthly programs will contain sermons of the pastor recorded in the studio. The cost of these programs is $1,000 per month.

6. The church website and “The Good Shepherd” website, through the live or recorded broadcasts and other resources they offer (sermons, articles, pastor`s page and church services) are free means of evangelization, discipleship and worship for all the people who access them. They are also a method of ministry, through the donations certain people can make to the church.

7. In the month of July, alongside the youth choir and orchestra, we will go on a missionary trip to Romania, with a special focus on the southern cities of the country where there are either no evangelical churches or the church is very small. Each person will purchase their own plane ticket, but the church will sponsor a portion of the financial bearings of the Missionary Trip through several offerings and bake sales.
